Optimization · Match Contribution

Review whether each match justifies its added complexity

Adding a match can multiply the number of cards without creating the tradeoff you wanted. Match Contribution ranks the matches in the current plan to help you investigate contribution and complexity before deciding what to keep.

Open Permutify to use Match Contribution

Pro feature

Finding matches that may not justify their complexity.

A match ranking that supports keep/remove decisions.

What Match Contribution does

Ranks matches by contribution to the plan so low-value or high-friction matches are easier to spot.

Example: investigate a match with three alternatives

Start with a four-match plan and inspect the ranking after choosing outcomes. If a match appears to contribute little relative to its complexity, compare the setup with that match excluded. Check the change in card count, total allocation, and potential returns before accepting the smaller match set.

How to use Match Contribution

Open Permutify and find Match Contribution in Optimization.

  • Select outcomes first.
  • Open Match Contribution.
  • Review the ranking before removing or keeping matches.

What to check before relying on the result

The ranking concerns the configured plan. It is not a record of realized profit for each match or proof that a low-ranked fixture will be incorrect. The usefulness of a removal depends on your objective and the revised plan.

Does the ranking automatically settle match results?

No. It supports planning decisions about match contribution. Use Prediction Performance and Return Analysis Dashboard to review recorded outcomes and realized results.

How can I compare a target number of retained matches?

Use Match Subset Optimizer to compare candidate sets for a chosen match count and strategy, then inspect the recommended set before applying it.
