Input · Match Scenarios

Keep alternate match assumptions in one workspace

An uncertain match can justify more than one reading. Match Scenarios lets you create separate outcome sets on the same fixture, so you can explore alternatives while keeping the rest of the match list available in the workspace.

Open Permutify to use Match Scenarios

Pro feature

Testing alternate reads on uncertain matches.

Scenario-specific combinations you can compare later.

What Match Scenarios does

Creates multiple outcome sets for the same match so different assumptions can be planned without duplicating the whole plan.

Example: keep a cautious and a narrower match scenario

For one fixture, create a scenario that includes a home win and a draw. Create another that includes only the home win. Set the outcomes within each scenario and inspect the combinations produced by your scenario choices. Review coverage and allocations before saving versions you want to compare.

How to use Match Scenarios

Open Permutify and find Match Scenarios in Input.

  • Use the scenario controls on a match card.
  • Create or select a scenario.
  • Set outcomes for that scenario.

What to check before relying on the result

Scenarios are alternate planning assumptions, not independent evidence about a match. Check which scenario selections are active and how their outcome sets affect the generated cards before comparing totals.

Do I need to duplicate the fixture to try another outcome set?

No. Use the scenario controls on the match card to create or select an alternate outcome set for that fixture.

Can I compare complete plans built from different assumptions?

Yes. Save the workspace versions you want to retain, then use Scenario Comparison to compare their combination counts, allocations, odds, and return ranges.
